National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) JCC Bayelsa Axis has called on Students of Niger Delta University, Wilberforce Island to at all time patronize School registered shuttle in the overall interest and safety of the students.
Pointing out that in the case of any security challenges, the school designated buses can easily be traced, as each of them carries a unique identification number.
Read below the text of the Press Release:
**WHICH BUS SHOULD I JOIN IN NIGER DELTA UNIVERSITY (NDU)**
The school is trying to provide a uniform transport system so Pls let's try to stick to NDU buses whenever they are available, because most times NDU shuttles drive empty, the drivers are forced to join the BTC company at their park, where they park passengers like sand and in bad and uncensored vehicles, at outrageous prices.. Unlike the school buses, but because students don't want to trek with their luggage to the school park they prefer the community park.
Pls let's encourage our own transport facilities, let's shun unnecessary showoff (bcos u think u have money) bcos one day that #50 or #100 difference can make u unable to go where u want to and when (without begging for it)
**and also it's important we realize that ur safety and security is more guaranteed when u join the school buses bcos they have numbers on them with which they can be traced. **Also in a case where u forget any belongings in the school bus, their is a channel u can always go to pick it up (untouched) which is different with the other transport companies.
**Also u are treated with more respect at the school park unlike outside where they talk to students anyhow, even abusing their parents.
**The school check the condition of their vehicles, but their is no such guarantee outside.. **Reckless driving is mostly associated with the drivers outside. And so on. Pls let's be on a safer side, and let's not allow ourselves to be exploited unnecessary for we are learned, if u will be the type that will positively change ur society it starts now (remember what u will be, u are already becoming)
